Some of the topics student will learn during the 12 week lecture phase are:

Intimacy with God, Hearing God's Voice, Intercession, Worship, Orphans and Vulnerable Children, Missions, HIV-AIDS education, How the pandemic has affected various
communities and people groups within South Africa (which reportedly has
the highest percentage rate of HIV/AIDS infection in the world) and how
people are coping with it, Creative ways to evangelize, disciple, care
for, uplift and empower the people infected and affected by HIV-AIDS.
Along with other practical acts of service, we will have the
opportunity to work with the Garden of Hope Project located within YWAM
Worcester. The Garden of Hope produces a variety of vegetables some of
which are currently donated to the HIV clinic in the government
hospital. The project is also pioneering a program which will teach
AIDS orphans and child-headed households agricultural skills and
nutrition to empower the children to grow their own vegetables and
become self-sufficient. The South African Department of Health
estimates that there will be 2.3 million AIDS orphans in South Africa
by 2010. Children who become orphans are often faced with extreme and
dangerous hardships.
Therefore, we also hold artistic and fun activities that
encourage alternatives to crime, hopelessness, and defeat. We welcome
applicants from any where in the world as we are a multi-cultural and
interdenominational organization.
Never be afraid to try something new; remember that a lone amateur
built the ARK. A large group of professionals built the TITANIC! Each
one of us can make a difference one life at a time.
